An Instrument of Love

This meditation explores the being and experience of an aware glass to describe aspects of being aware and the experience of being limited. We then imagine an aware universe and ask, ‘What is the difference between the “I am” the universe experiences and the “I am” that the glass experiences?’ Nothing, because there are no qualities or limitations in either. God's knowledge of itself and our knowledge of our self is the same infinite being. To know God, we have to know our self. Love is not an experience that we as a person have, it is the revelation of reality, the revelation of the one. A mind that has either investigated its essential nature or utterly surrendered itself and, as a result, has dissolved in the absolute or in love, will rise again. Because it retains the memory of that love within itself, it becomes an instrument of this love.
