Let's explore a profound question: Is there any residue of expectation within you? Expectation can obscure the beauty of now. Anticipating external peace or fulfillment, we overlook the richness of our current experience. Boredom, for example, is merely peace veiled by expectation. Understand this and let boredom become peace. Imagine an inner cat in the sun. Without past references, we don’t label ourselves as man or woman. Yet, we're aware of ‘I am’, a knowing that’s intrinsically peaceful and free from sorrow. The cat, undistracted by fleeting scents, doesn't seek more. Why then do we allow passing thoughts to disrupt our innate peace? We think they offer something missing. Let go of such hopes. T.S. Eliot said, ‘Rest without expectation’. The cat, unconcerned by others' actions, exemplifies this. Just as Krishnamurti advised, 'Let's not mind what happens'. The cat's purring invites us to find our peace, already present, surpassing expectation.
